Watercolor on 12″ x 9″ Arches Hot Press 140 lb block paper using Winsor & Newton colors. This is the last image to be inserted into a deck of playing cards featuring my art to be published this fall. The deck is called, Pirate Carrds.

An imagined scene of Long John visiting Flint’s treasure before it was moved to the Hispaniola. He is hefting a bag of gold and secreting doubloons in his pocket. The painting is 14″ x 10″ on cold press 300 lb Aches paper.
Here are three more watercolors painted in a collector’s first editions. Watercolor with a minimum of water is used upon a blank interior page after transferring a drawing based upon the book to the site.
Original watercolor painted on the title page of a collector’s signed first edition of Stephen King’s Duma Key. A dry brush is needed to preserve the paper.

“He Is Bluffing” is a watercolor on a 12″ x 9″ Hot Pressed Arches Watercolor Block. This provides a very smooth surface for crisp edges and detailed rendering. The image is intended for a future playing card deck.
